Heart Disease : Heart Attack Symptoms, Heart Failure, Angioplasty and More

Illustration of heart attack
A heart with blocked arteries.

If you have chest pain, which may be worse during physical activity, such as climbing the stairs or shortness of breath, tiring easily when doing physical activity such as gardening or even brisk walking, feeling very dizzy suddenly when you stand up from a lying or sitting position (this may be caused by having low blood pressure (hypotension)) there is a strong possibility that you may have a second degree blockage.

The symptoms of  coronary artery disease include:

a) Palpitations (irregular heart beats
b) A faster heartbeat
c) Weakness or dizziness
d) Nausea
e) Sweating

For people who have the above signs and symptoms there is a strong possibility that you may have a heart blockage. If you do not do something about it the situation may get worse and you may need a major surgery to correct the situation. Worst still, you may have a heart attack.

If you have the above signs and symptoms , you can try a simple home remedy of boiling some herbs found in markets, new villages sold by old ladies selling kampung herbs and vegetables.

1.   The name of this herb is called The Alternanthera sessilis (Linn.) R.Br.ex DC, Kremah, Bintang merah , 紅田烏 - Hong tian wu, Joyweed,  蓮子草, Lian zi cao or Joyweed.  One bundle is about RM2.00. Wash and clean the whole plant. Put everything into a boiling pot including the flowers, stems, leaves and roots. Put in about 5 litres of water.

2.  Together with the herb also add 20 gm of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge or Dan Shen - 丹參 in Chinese which can be bought from the Chinese Medical Shop.  Put this into the pot.

3.  And finally add also 20 gm of Hawthorn - Crataegus Pinnatifida (shan zha) 山楂 which also can be bought from the Chinese Medical Hall. Put all together and boil for 3-4 hours.  Add a little rock sugar for better taste.

WHAT IT DOES: Hawthorn berries and flower buds are sour and sweet in taste, and slightly warming in action.  Hawthorn nourishes the heart, increases oxygen flow to the heart muscle, reduces blood vessel lining inflammation and helps digest fats and oils.

4.  First drink a glass and put the rest into the refrigerator and drink two or three times daily.

*This plant can be taken by the whole family for general health. You need not add the Dan shen and Shan zha. Just boil the plant with 5 litres of water and add some rock sugar to taste.
** Or you can boil it with chicken , chicken legs or any other meat with chinese jujube - red dates, Chinese Wolfberry / Fructus Lycii (gou ji zi) 枸杞子. and dang shen. and a little salt to taste.

Our Keremak Merah Tea

If you feel that it is too much trouble to find the Alternanthera sessilis plant and do the preparions we have a ready made tea called the Keremak Merah Tea. Just three days ago our customers came to our farm and told us their dad who got 3 arteries blocked and the IJN doctor advised the patient to undergo a by-pass.
The patients children told us that out of the 3 arteries, 2 arteries are now 60% better but one artery remains the same after taking 4 packets of the above tea. They came to buy more and we advised them to continue giving the Keremak Merah tea, hoping the third one may get better. Otherwise the patient may have to go for a by-pass on the other artery.
This tea is a good way to get rid of the plaque in our artery.
